PROJECT MANAGER/ SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER:

We are seeking experienced Renewable Energy Project Managers to join our team.

Our Footprints are a leading renewable energy consultancy, known for providing expert engineering and consulting services. We are committed to supporting the development, financing, and implementation of ground-breaking renewable energy projects across the globe.

As a Project Manager/ Senior Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to work as an integral part of the team, with experienced engineers and industry specialists, as well as providing mentorship and guidance to engineering colleagues.

Our projects are as diverse as they are impactful, ranging from small 0.5MW projects to large-scale installations exceeding 1,000 MW, located across the globe. We cover all renewable energy technologies including onshore wind, offshore wind, solar PV, Battery Energy Storage and Hydro. Your role will involve collaborating with clients’ and teams on a global scale, potentially taking you to different international locations.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will be wide ranging and will include:

  • Project Support: Collaborate with project managers and interdisciplinary teams to provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion. Nurturing graduate and junior engineers, and providing technical oversight.
  • Continuous Learning: Embrace opportunities for professional growth and development, staying updated with industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct comprehensive technical assessments of renewable energy projects evaluating their feasibility, performance, and potential risks.
  • Due Diligence: Participate in due diligence activities, conducting in-depth reviews of project documentation, contracts, and technical specifications to provide clients with accurate and reliable information.
  • Financial Modelling: Collaborate with financial analysts to integrate technical data into financial models, evaluating the economic viability and return on investment for renewable energy projects.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in renewable energy technologies, analysing their applicability and effectiveness for specific projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that renewable energy projects align with relevant local, regional, and international regulations, permitting requirements, and environmental standards.
  • Technical Reports: Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations, summarizing findings, recommendations, and potential mitigation strategies for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Client Communication: Engage in professional and proactive communication with clients, addressing their technical queries and providing engineering expertise to foster positive client relationships and assist with Business Development activities

Person Specification:

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Engineering Degree (e.g. civils, mechanical, electrical, etc.)

Desirable:

  • Health and Safety qualification
  • Renewable Energy qualification
  • Project Management qualifications
  • Chartered Engineer Status

Competencies:

Essential:

  • Team worker
  • Good communication skills
  • Good reporting skills
  • Word, Excel, MS Project, Teams

Desirable:

  • AutoCAD
  • GIS
  • PVSyst, WindPro
  • Engineering design experience

Previous Experience:

Essential:

  • Greater than two-years Renewable Energy, or relevant experience

Desirable:

  • Project Management of  Renewable Energy Projects

Circumstances:

Essential:

  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • UK Driving licence
